Swedish artist Einar Palme studied architecture at the University of Technology from 1920 to 1921, and drawing/graphics in Vienna in 1922. He was a student of Carl Wilhelmsson in Austria, as well as of André Lôthe in Paris.

He started out as an impressionist and later became more naturalistic painting mainly landscapes, portraits and scenes on water.

He exhibited his work in Tromsö (1924), Örebro (1927) and Göteborgs Konsthall (1930) as well as several solo shows and collective exhibitions in Sweden and abroad. Palme's work is represented in the collections of the Modern Museum of Art in Stockholm and Gothenburg Art Museum, as well as in the Brooklyn Museum in New York.
